Empa (Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Testing and Research) is the ETH domain's institution for multi disciplinary research into sustainable materials and systems engineering. As an independent, neutral research institution, Empa solves selected tasks and problems of a scientific and technical nature within its sphere of activities. Empa combines targeted applied research and development with high quality services. Empa exploits its interdisciplinary skills to ensure an integrated approach.
